QatarEnergy LNG currently operates 14 LNG production trains within Ras Laffan Industrial City, with an annual production capacity reaching approximately 77 million tons as of 2024. With the ongoing North Field Expansion project, the company's annual capacity is expected to increase to 126 million tons by 2027.

The main contractor for this project is Technip Energies, a globally leading energy technology service provider. As an approved subcontractor for Technip Energies, this delivery marks the second project completed collaboratively by both parties.

On March 17, 2026, the Technip Energies project team visited the XiHong production base to conduct an on-site inspection of the production and testing processes. They highly commended the Xihong team's meticulous construction and organizational management throughout the project implementation.

During project execution, the Xihong team maintained efficient communication with the Technip Energies project team, systematically addressing and implementing key aspects such as production processes, project documentation control, and supplier management, which were of high concern to the client. This approach earned customer recognition.

This project involves 3LPE external anti-corrosion coating for high-wall-thickness stainless steel straight pipes, imposing stringent requirements on process control and quality assurance. In the early stages, the XiHong technical team conducted multiple rounds of technical discussions with the client, ultimately obtaining production approval based on a scientific and feasible technical solution.

To ensure the stainless steel pipes were free from iron ion or other contamination during the coating process, the production team proactively identified risks from the initial process design stage and implemented a series of specialized control measures. These included selecting dedicated stainless steel abrasives, employing full-line protective covering, customizing specialized stainless steel pipe loaders, and utilizing tools such as stainless steel pipe-end brushes, ensuring the entire production process was safe, controllable, and compliant with high-quality standards.

The successful delivery of this project has laid a solid foundation for XiHong to continue fulfilling subsequent orders for Technip Energies. The client's rigorous review and confirmation of every detail have also created a favorable starting point for deepening mutual trust and cooperation between the two parties.
